Taylor Swift was hilariously caught grooving to DJ James Kennedy's remix of "Cruel Summer," and as the beat dropped and the song changed, she seemed to be caught completely off guard.

In a TikTok that caught her reaction at Coachella in Palm Springs on Saturday, April 13, she was jamming to her 2019 song but was stunned when the music changed and it was no longer the song she wrote. She suddenly stopped singing and glanced over her shoulder in confusion.

Social media users were quick to joke about Swift's viral reaction to the remix created by the Vanderpump Rules star. "I'm not ready to live in a universe where Taylor Swift knows who James Kennedy is," one user said. Another wrote, "DJ James Kennedy performing for Taylor Swift is sending me into a spiral."

As for Kennedy's part, he was quite proud of his accomplishment of getting Swift's attention. "While I was playing @taylorswift x @killatrav were having a ball," he wrote via his Instagram Stories on Monday, April 15. He went on to brag that he was "living for" the Grammy winner's reaction to the remix.

Swift and her boyfriend Travis Kelce were also caught in a PDA moment as Kennedy was performing, and he credited his set to "setting the mood" for the couple.

This wasn't the only viral moment that Taylor was a part of during her attendance at Coachella โ€” her NFL beau was caught lifting her in the air as they were in the crowd so she could see above everyone, which had fans in an absolute tizzy.

Swift attended the music festival in support of her two friends and collaborators โ€” Jack Antonoff, who performed with his band Bleachers, and Ice Spice, who joined Swift on stage at the Eras Tour and was a collaborator on her hit song "Karma."
