Meridian Police arrest local woman and Illinois man for separate felony theft charges

On Aug. 4, around 7:14 p.m., Meridian Police were dispatched to a residence near West Highland Fall Drive, referencing a theft report. The calling party advised checks were stolen from their home, and another was cashed for $1500.

Upon further investigation, 19-year-old Paige Logan of Meridian, known to the victims, was arrested for one count of felony grand theft and one count of felony forgery.

On Aug. 6, around 2:40 p.m., Meridian Police located a stolen Fluid Truck rental box truck near the North Meridian Road and East Overland Road intersection. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle near the South Locust Grove Road and East Overland Road intersection.

The sole occupant and driver of the vehicle, 24-year-old Noah Berbaum of Illinois, was searched and handcuffed. Dispatch confirmed the car was stolen. Snohomish County Sheriff's Department reported the incident on July 28.

Noah was arrested for one count of felony theft by receiving, possessing or disposing of stolen property.
