Male or female, ya got to have a shirt. There are laws about that and everything.

But beyond just being allowed to go into public establishments, clothes are a good way to explore self-expression. And shirts are really the foundation of that for men.

As The Sims shows, however, that definitely doesn’t mean a man’s wardrobe has to be a sad sight.

Both custom and official content explore all different kinds of styles, so everyone has the means to show off who they are – Sims and players alike.

CAS can be a rather harrowing place if you don’t have custom content or packs, though. Those base game tees and sweaters already seem so redundant now. It’s like having the same 3 outfits for a doll, it’s just not fun!

Custom content expands the horizons of CAS in ways never really before seen in video games.

If there’s something you want, chances are it’s available for download.

So let’s look at a collection of custom shirts for all of your guy Sims.

1. Mirage Henley Shirt

Check Out This CC

Some types of shirts have their own names, and that’s as convenient as it is bizarre.

See, some people may just call this a long-sleeved shirt. But a “Henley” is more to the point.

According to Google, the name came about because it’s what rowers wore in the town Henley-On-Thames in England. This very style dates back to 1839.

So there’s a fun fact.

But this shirt is pretty far removed from its unexpectedly long history. A lot of men wear Helneys in casual ways today. And there will be no shortage of opportunities for your Sims with all of these 30 swatches.

Plus we’ve also got our own separate list focused on Henley CC for TS4. Check that out if you’re interested!

2. Tee Dump Set

Check Out This CC

Oh, the ubiquitous graphic t-shirt.

These came on the scene in the ‘60s and have never left. Some things just become must-haves, things nearly everyone is guaranteed to have, and tees are now definitely in the same league as blue jeans or sneakers.

Since it’s generally a nice go-to, you’re probably well-acquainted with the tees we have in the base game. They’re good. But using them over and over leads to a sort of clone-y feel, where your Sims never seem quite as unique as you’d like.

These 4 new versions are a little breath of fresh air.

They actually seem slightly more oversized than the base game ones, adding to the laid back vibe a t-shirt inherently carries.

Each of these designs is an original from the creator, Simstel.

The larger graphics include a clawed hand and a Simlish shirt with a paper bag mask.

The other two feature more subtle designs, with a little gnome head on the breast of one, and three cartoony flowers on the other.

3. Buttoned Flannels & Undershirts

Check Out This CC

Flannels are like a superpower.

They give someone like a hundred bonus handsome points, and I know I’m far from the only person who thinks so. I don’t know the reason.

I mean, it’s just a long-sleeved shirt with a pattern like a ‘80s couch, why is it so appealing!?

Well maybe it’s better to not ask questions. Just enjoy it. Ignorance is bliss and all that.

MarvinSims has created the ultimate flannel CC collection for your male Sims.

These simply look fantastic. Not like a pajama top, and not like an old-timey lumberjack’s uniform either.

These are modern and (in my totally unbiased opinion) perfect.

They come in some great patterns as well as a few solid colors, which technically aren’t flannel, but they’re still nice.

But this is really like a two-for-one deal since the undershirts available with them come in super handy as well.

I actually use them not just with the flannels, but literally any other shirt that I feel is too low cut.

In nearly 2+ years of having these in my mods folder, I have yet to find a shirt they don’t work with.

4. If You Polo

Check Out This CC

Polos are kinda strange, but in a good way.

They’re basically v-neck t-shirts except there’s a collar and buttons… so it’s not a v-neck.

I’m undecided on whether or not that sentence is sensible to anyone besides me. But the point is there are so few changes between this and a tee, and yet it’s a distinct style all its own.

This used to be considered something for geeks or posh folks to wear. But then people figured out polos are all about the pattern, and here we are.

Now anyone can wear a polo for essentially any occasion. As they should.

These ones have some really fun designs too. Each one is like a separate work of art, honestly. There are lots of contrasting colors and stuff like leopard print or paisley.

5. Guy’s Bar Shirt

Check Out This CC

You just can’t mess with the social scene of bars in The Sims 4.

That always seems like a sensible place to send your Sim to find them a boyfriend or girlfriend, so giving them an outfit for such an occasion requires a delicate balance.

They shouldn’t look like they just got off work. You’ll want them to look casual, but not sloppy.

And so the slightly unbuttoned button up with rolled sleeves makes sense as the “ultimate bar shirt”.

It’s not tucked in so they’ll look chill and suave, which is helped by these great color combos.

6. Island Hopper Shirt

Okay, so here’s one shirt that I was very surprised to discover, and will excite a lot of people…

An Animal Crossing: New Horizons shirt, just for your Sims!

Two of the most beloved games of our time have combined at last, in the most wonderfully subtle way.

I’d feel pretty weird if I saw Tom Nook wandering around Willow Creek. But a shirt with that nice leaf pattern is a way to pay homage to Animal Crossing without having these games collide.

Animal Crossing and The Sims actually have a lot in common.

They’re both long-running games that are fun for all ages, relaxing, and life simulators.

It’s kind of a safe bet that if you enjoy one, you’ll enjoy the other.

And aside from this just being a really cool creation, it looks great. The cut is actually super stylish with rolled sleeves and a collar, and it even tucks!

7. Printed Shirts

Check Out This CC

MarvinSims has done it again.

And by “it” I mean created epic shirts.

When it comes to CC for male Sims, this is one creator I always find myself returning to. Although he’s retired now, his stuff is timelessly unique and cool.

These are some good shirts for when you want to have some more spice in your Sim’s outfits.

And with thrifting being an ever-enduring trend, your Sim will fit right into our modern age, despite most of these having retro patterns.

To just chalk them up as retro shirts would be doing them a disservice. All of them are amazing individually, with the swatches all feeling quite different.

Some have tons of bright colors and elaborate patterns. And others are like abstract art, and the few with floral prints really stand out too.

8. Checked Shirt

Check Out This CC

Semi-formal outfits can really be a pain to organize in this game. They’re what you need for a date night or holiday dinners.

The problem is most clothes for those occasions will be too formal for the everyday category, yet too casual to be formal.

Maybe that’s just me overthinking it.

But when you go to make a formal outfit, a lot of things are filtered out.

That just doesn’t jive with a lot of people’s gameplay.

And these checked shirts are a classic option for laid-back dates. Any Sim will look like he took the time to put together a nice outfit, but with the shirt being untucked, it won’t seem too fancy.

The swatches also offer a lot of variety too. Some of the check patterns are smaller and busier, while others feature much larger boxes bordering on flannel.

9. Radio Gaga Shirts

Check Out This CC

It’s always fun to see what sort of innovative creations The Sims 4 community can make.

Some players call it “CC shopping” for a reason!

So far we’ve seen a lot of staples that just make sense for expanding your Sim’s wardrobe. But it’s always fun to have some more personalized pieces – and that’s exactly what Saartje has got going on with this set.

These layered tops consist of a tee over a long-sleeved shirt, a timeless look as any.

But the designs are what really make them stand out.

Saartje took inspiration from general ‘80s shirts, which I love, because that’s like the golden t-shirt era in my opinion.

Phrases and graphics were really coming into the mainstream, and clothing manufacturers went wild, but in a now retro way.

Several of the swatches here also feature recognizable logos for movies and such.

And the best part is, the colors are all super vibrant, and all writing is in Simlish so these should fit right in.

10. Joshua Shirt

Check Out This CC

Here we have another layered combo shirt, with one little twist.

Okay, so it’s actually a huge extra in some people’s eyes… if you look closely, you’ll see that those aren’t normal sleeves. They go over the hands and have a thumb hole.

That probably has a real term, but if so, I’ve never heard it.

I just know this shirt for its popularity among middle schoolers and rockers alike.

Simply put, this design looks cool.

This snazzy top comes in a truly impressive 80 swatches, with an abundance of colors in all shades for you to enjoy.

11. Ash Crop Top

Check Out This CC

The fun of showing off your belly button is no longer exclusive to girls.

This fashionable crop top is sem-fitted, with 3/4 sleeves and, as you’d expect, a cropped bottom.

Sims of any size can wear this and have the ultimate fashionable look.

There’s nothing like this available for the guys outside of CC, as far as I’m aware. So they’ll definitely look unique.

And your Sims will have an advantage over townies. The bar is pretty low anyway with the ensembles they turn up in… but this CC will really knock your look out of the park.

No loved Sim should be mistaken for a townie.

12. Douglas Top

Check Out This CC

Usually I try to keep collections like this focused on base game content, that way it’s accessible to everyone.

As awesome as the packs are, not everyone is as willing to spend all their savings on The Sims.

I am, though. An intervention may be in order soon.

Anyway, those of you with the Laundry Day Stuff pack are probably well acquainted with the clothes in it. I believe it got a lot compared to other stuff packs, and there’s a rather defined boho theme.

But also kind of a slob theme?

Some of the tops are just very baggy in a non-flattering way, and sit crooked when your Sim wears them. I’ve always assumed this was supposed to create a look like your Sim pulled something out of the hamper to wear… but maybe not.

I don’t know if this was the creator’s intention, but this top now looks like the most romantic, swoonworthy shirt ever.

And I certainly didn’t expect that out of a Laundry Day edit.

13. GrayStillPlays Spleens Tee

Check Out This CC

Alright, if you don’t know about GrayStillPlays then this shirt probably looks horrific – so let me provide some backstory.

The world of Sims YouTubers is an amazing, entertaining, and slightly crazy place.

Players with all sorts of ideas upload videos of themselves playing the game and getting up to all the drama and shenanigans they can.

GrayStillPlays is one creator who does some pretty wacky stuff, and dear old Spleens the cat has become an iconic part of his channel. She has a glitchy little face, but she’s hilarious and viewers love her – partially due to the narration which includes her doing drugs and committing felonies.

Hey, if Mayor Whiskers can be mayor, Spleens can be a felon.

And now your Sims can know the joy of Spleens with this amazing t-shirt.

It’s like Sim-ception but also really fitting since she’s a cat from the game, so this actually does look like something a Sim would wear.

14. Dino T-Shirts

Check Out This CC

I’m all for dinosaurs in The Sims 4 in any capacity.

We’ve gotten a Star Wars collab, when is the Jurassic Park collab coming?

Probably never, but we can dream.

For now, dino love will have to be restricted to clothing and décor.

This custom t-shirt set has an awesome print that gets better the more you look at it.

It may seem like it’s just a generic dinosaur print at first, but there are actually a number of recognizable types, including the t-rex, triceratops, and iguanodon.

15. Open Shirt With Patterns

Check Out This CC

The Seasons Expansion Pack brought many changes, and that open shirt for hot weather is certainly among the most remarkable.

That’s not something that can only be worn in a narrow window. Assuming you want your Sim to live and have a decent reputation, of course.

An open shirt baring all like that is made for summer days, barbecues, and hanging out beside the pool.

Never let it be said that this game isn’t true to life.

These recolors bring some busy patterns into the picture that are perfect for sunny days. Since most of the original swatches are solid colors, Tukete has totally reinvented the shirt. The 35 swatches include watermelon, flamingos, and lots of flowers.

16. Keeping It Simple V Tee

Check Out This CC

Everyday fashion is usually uncomplicated.

Unless you’re rich, a normal Monday entails work, errands, and household chores. And it’s just sensible to not wear anything too fancy.

Sims can get away with a little more since their clothes don’t rip or stain. But for the sake of realism and just plain fun, most players like to dress them accordingly.

T-shirts were made with that train of thought in mind – or it seems that way.

They’re casual, versatile, and most of all, simple.

But these are still a nice change of pace from the base game tees. Even the littlest tweaks can be an improvement, and this new v-neck will fit your Sim in all the right ways.

The shadowing and wrinkles are perfect, and something about the pocket makes it all even better.

Like I said, it’s the little things!

Peacemaker includes two separate versions here but the only changes are in regards to the swatches. You can choose from 30 solid colors or 30 stripes, or I suppose there’s 60 in total if you download them both.

17. Leapin’ Layers Shirt

Check Out This CC

Layered shirts offer endless possibilities.

The concept seems fairly bare bones on the surface. But we’ve seen several throughout this list, and no two are really alike.

Here we have another stroke of genius, this time from CC creator Renorasims.

And this is a very stylish shirt all around. From the cut to the colors, it all works together to form one fashionable piece of clothing.

The outer shirt has a more utilitarian look, with its buttoned pockets and detailed stitching. The one beneath it even has a more stylish neck than the typical collar found on most t-shirts.

Even though this may look so great that it seems like it might be a mesh from a pack, this is completely base game compatible.

Yay, layers for everyone!

18. Surendra Shirt

Check Out This CC

Tie dye has officially been back in fashion for a minute – and this couldn’t have come soon enough.

Honestly I don’t understand why beautifully swirled, bright colors ever went out of fashion.

And if tie dye is done at home, then it truly is personalized. Which makes it even cooler.

This shirt is as close to that as you can get for your Sims.

Creator RobinKLocksley included a ton of swatches here, and each one really captures the beauty and individualism of tie dye.

The colors are vibrant and there’s also a wide range of patterns. If anything, you’ll probably have trouble deciding which one your Sim should wear!

19. Awe-Sim Llama T-Shirt

Check Out This CC

Certain things have become iconically connected to The Sims franchise, like ladderless pools, plumbobs, and llamas. Especially llamas.

Such a bizarre creature is perfect to represent a bizarre game.

The llama influence may not be as heavy now as in past games. But they’re still practically the face of the series.

And at long last, we can even have them in the flesh with the Cottage Living Pack!

So don’t be afraid to let your male Sims show their llama love. These tees are innately “Sims” with a happy little llama face inside a plumbob shape, and a multicolored design.

20. Jean Shirt

Check Out This CC

Everyone loves denim. It’s the most versatile yet distinct fabric out there, probably because everything looks good with it.

Tees, sweaters, sweatpants, khakis, even more denim… it all goes.

And there’s a certain ruggedness to a men’s denim shirt that’s hard to find anywhere else.

They’re durable and tough, just as good for working on the farm as they are for a night out with friends.

In essence, these kinds of shirts are for every guy. And CC maker Rope has a fantastic selection here.

Plus this shirt comes in 12 swatches, from your typical blue denim styles, to shades of brown and green.
